How Our Testing Works
The PCR test involves a simple nasal swab, which is less painful than most tests.
Results will be emailed within 24 hours of your test.
The COVID-19 Public Health Emergency declaration ends May 11th, 2023. That means insurance companies will no longer be required to waive costs or provide free COVID-19 tests.
ALS will continue to provide COVID-19 testing for our community through our drive-through, however we will not be able to accept insurance. As of May 12th, 2023, our PCR Testing will cost $300 (cash or card) for those without insurance. We are only accepting cash and card payments.
Providing inactive/inaccurate health insurance information will result in a bill for testing performed.
If you do have health insurance, we ask that you bring your insurance card with you.

HRSA announced 3/16/22 that government funded Covid-19 testing claim submissions ends for the un-insured on 3/22/22. Effective 3/18/22 our PCR Testing will cost $130 (cash or card) for those without insurance.

Our testing is performed using a mid-turbinate swab, only going halfway into the nose. It’s not the nasopharyngeal or “brain-tickling” swabs. It’s more comfortable and still extremely accurate.
Our goal is to get results to you the evening of the testing day, however, they are always sent within 24 hours. Emailed results will include a simple “detected” or “not detected” reading.
Although testing in our drive-thru is usually the best option, there are instances when remote testing makes more sense. If you need your staff tested, give us a call (903-487-0598) and we can work on a testing solution that works for you.
